Lineage: Jack Herer Strain
Jack Herer is a sativa-dominant classic bred by Sensi Seeds from a cross of Haze with a Northern Lights #5 x Shiva Skunk hybrid. Named for the legendary cannabis activist, it is celebrated for a clear, blissful, and creative high.
That parentage is worth reading carefully. The Haze side supplies the soaring, cerebral character and the long, open bud structure; Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk bring the resin, the density and the manageable finishing time. Jack Herer is the cross that made Haze practical for ordinary grow rooms.
It carries a spicy, piney, citrus aroma led by terpinolene and caryophyllene, making it a go-to for uplifting daytime use.
Growing Jack Herer
A resinous, medium-tall plant that flowers in roughly 8-10 weeks and rewards growers with generous yields of frosty, aromatic buds.
Medium-tall is the useful detail. It stretches more than an indica but nothing like a pure Haze, so it fits a standard tent if you top it early and keep the canopy even. Growers who let it run untrained tend to get one dominant cola and a lot of undersized lower sites.
Terpinolene is among the more volatile terpenes, so how you dry matters as much as how you grow. A slow dry in cool, dark air preserves the spice and citrus; rushing it in warm air is the quickest way to lose the character you grew it for.
Feed it moderately through flower. The Haze influence means it is less hungry for nitrogen than modern dessert hybrids, and overfeeding shows up as dark, leathery leaf rather than extra weight.
Is Jack Herer right for your grow?
Choose it if you want a genuine daytime sativa with a reliable finish. The 8-10 week flower is moderate, the plant is forgiving, and the effect is clear rather than heavy. It suits growers who want to work, think or make something afterwards.
If you are after a sedative, body-heavy indica, our LA Confidential and Bubba Kush lines are the better fit.
